"As Iron sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17
Ironmen is FBC's version of " Men's Ministry" and is designed to build community among men. It is our desire to develop friendships and camaraderie as well as promote spiritual development. So throughout the year you will see advertisements for golf outings, yard parties, canoe trips and excursions to local sporting events. Ironmen meets weekly on Wednesday mornings, 6:30 a.m. at Russ' in Grand Haven for encouragement, study, prayer and of course breakfast.
Every January, FBC joins with men from around the country in a united building effort someplace in Mexico. Church Planting is a constantly growing effort in central Mexico and this group literally builds at least one church building every year. Along with being a lot of fun, this trip has been one of the greatest transformational experiences as men are constantly challenged in their faith.
The "flotilla" is a yearly overnight of camping, canoeing, and kayaking on the Pere Marquette River, typically scheduled for August.
