Serving is one of the ways that we express our love and thanks for all the things God has done for us. In addition, it is a great way to meet people and become connected with others who share your particular interests. Serving will also make your church feel like a place you belong. And finally, by serving, we find ourselves changing to become more Christ-like.
Below is a list and description of the various areas in KNOWING that provide an opportunity for you to serve at FBC. Read through this list, pray about your role, and the seek God's direction for your response.
Underneath all of the ministry and vitality of a healthy church is the prayer ministry. We can never have too many people praying. Intercessory prayer is simply seeking God for his best on behalf of another person; literally anyone who has a relationship with Jesus can do this job. Check at the church office or see Ed Kinney (our Prayer Chairman) for details.
A great number of volunteers participate in our Worship area of ministry each week. Check at the church office or see Sherri Casey for details or complete the response form below to volunteer.
FBC has a goal of being a welcoming friendly place. Each Sunday, volunteers make themselves available to welcome newcomers, show people how to find their way around FBC. If you are interested in learning more about this valuable ministry, check with the FBC office.
From time-to-time, our building and grounds require additional attention by volunteers willing to contribute a few hours or a few days to specific projects.
