We send mission teams to Mexico and Canada every year. These short-term trips allow FBC to mobilize missionaries for short periods of time ranging from days to several weeks and up to a year in duration. Their purpose is to provide opportunities for intensive, proactive and cross-cultural experiences.
Every January, FBC joins with men from around the country in a united building effort someplace in Mexico. Church Planting is a constantly growing effort in central Mexico and this group literally builds at least one church building every year. Along with being a lot of fun, this trip has been one of the greatest transformational experiences as men are constantly challenged in their faith.
One of the unique ministries at FBC is our partnership with Daystar Native Outreach in serving Thessalon First Nation, a Native reserve in Ontario Canada. For almost a decade, FBC has been sending a team every summer to reach out to Ojibwe children and their families through Day Clubs and relationships. This trip is a family missions trip where kids and adults work together as a team to establish a Kingdom ministryoutpost on the North Channel of Lake Huron. This may be one of the most beautiful locations to travel to and the people of Thessalon First Nation are incredibly kind and gentle.
FBC has also sponsored trips to the Golf Coast, North Korea, Togo, Haiti and Nepal in the past few years as individual opportunities present themselves. Medical missions, mechanical maintenance, disaster relief and discipleship ministries have been accomplished as members of FBC seek to minister through personal effort across the globe.
