Welcome to First Baptist Church!
Who we are:
We are a community of people in Spring Lake, Michigan and the surrounding region who come together to worship God, to learn about God, to fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and to bring others in the community and the world to the new life in Jesus Christ.
Join us on Sunday!
| 9:45am | Sunday School | Classes for adults as well as classes for children. |
| 11:00am | Worship | Our reason for being. |
| 6:00pm | Evening interact | Sing traditional hymns and partake in small-group style discussion. |
Nursery is provided for all services.
All are welcome to partake the Lord's Table (communion), which is served once a month. Also, if you are a guest or newcomer, please sign a visitor's card, which is in the pews, and drop it in the offering plate. While the morning services are going on, there are two prayer intercessors in the office who pray for visitors and newcomers.
Our goals:
| - To worship God almighty, creator of heaven and earth, the lover of our souls. |
| - To learn about God through sermon teachings, Sunday School, and individual study of God's Word. |
| - To experience God through prayer, both private and corporate prayer. |
| - To fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ in Sunday services, small group study, and other activities. |
| - To bring others in our community to new life in Jesus Christ through evangelism. |
| - To bring Jesus Christ to the community through service and resources. |
| - To bring Jesus Christ to the world by supporting missionaries in prayer and resources. |
Our worship style:
Our congregation consists of a wide range of age groups; therefore, our music is a blend of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns, with a 7-person praise team leading us in worship.
AWANA children's program:
2006-2007 AWANA starts Wednesday, September 20.
Our community-oriented children's program occurs on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00. This program includes an exciting game time, singing, memorization, fun teaching and many special events. Kids love the energy and excitement of Wednesday evenings and parents are invited to come with their kids. Come join us for dinner at 5:45pm as well -- only $2!
Youth:

Nursery:
FBC provides child-care for parents during most scheduled events including Sunday morning services, Sunday night services, Wednesday ladies' Bible Study and Wednesday youth events. The nursery is staffed by responsible, caring volunteers. Depending on the number of children, we have two child-care stations for many of our events, which separate toddlers (ages 2-3) from infants.
